ClickUp AI Pricing (2026): What ClickUp Brain Costs and Whether It’s Worth It

A glowing AI brain above a price tag and a group of people, next to the headline ClickUp AI Pricing 2026

ClickUp Brain AI costs $14 per user per month with monthly billing, or $9 per user per month with annual billing. Everything AI costs $33 monthly or $28 per user per month paid annually. These are AI add-on prices, charged on top of your paid ClickUp plan.

The bigger budgeting detail is who gets billed. ClickUp’s documented add-on model applies the AI fee to every member of the Workspace, even if only a few people regularly use it.

ClickUp AI can be worth paying for when your team already keeps its tasks, documents, and project discussions in ClickUp. Its value is harder to justify when you mainly want occasional writing help or a simpler way to plan and review your own work.

Prices and official documentation checked October 14, 2026. Prices below are in USD, before tax. ClickUp notes that some Workspaces see newer plans with more AI included; confirm the offer shown in your account before purchasing.

What do Brain AI and Everything AI include?

Brain AI: the starting point for everyday assistance

ClickUp’s documentation lists AI writing, project summaries and updates, web research, and Brain MAX apps in Brain AI. Standard-model Brain use is subject to fair use, while premium-model usage has separate Workspace limits.

The package also includes 1,500 AI Credits per user each month for features such as Super Agents and AI Fields.

In practice, the buying question is whether AI can help with work you already do inside ClickUp:

  • Understanding a task without reading its entire discussion.
  • Drafting or improving a task description.
  • Breaking a larger task into suggested subtasks.
  • Producing an update from recorded project activity.

These are documented capabilities, rather than results from a hands-on test for this article.

Everything AI: for broader use across the team

Everything AI adds a wider set of capabilities under fair-use terms, including AI Notetaker, AI Time-Blocking, and expanded access to automatic AI features. Its documented allowance includes 5,000 AI Credits per user each month for Super Agents.

Premium-model usage remains separately limited. Buying the larger package does not remove every usage restriction.

This package makes more sense when several people have recurring uses for the additional features. If you mainly want summaries and writing assistance, start by evaluating Brain AI against those needs.

The billing rule that changes the calculation

Under ClickUp’s documented add-on model, Brain AI is purchased for a Workspace and the charge applies to all its members. Multiple Workspaces require separate purchases.

ClickUp also says an open seat left after removing a member during a billing cycle can still be charged when you purchase Brain AI. Review your billing seat count before estimating the upgrade.

For budgeting, count the billed members rather than only the people who intend to use AI.

A ten-person team with two enthusiastic AI users should assess the upgrade against the ten-person bill. That does not automatically make it poor value, but it raises the amount of useful work the subscription needs to deliver.

Guest access and feature permissions are separate questions. Do not assume every external collaborator needs a full member seat, or that guests receive every AI capability.

What do 3, 5, and 10 people actually pay?

The following calculations use ClickUp Unlimited as the underlying subscription: $10 per user per month with monthly billing, or $7 per user per month paid annually.

They assume one Workspace, every person is a billed member, and no extra credit purchases or other add-ons. These are calculated examples using the published rates.

With monthly billing

PeopleUnlimited + Brain AIUnlimited + Everything AISelfManager.ai Team
3$72/month$129/month$30/month total
5$120/month$215/month$30/month total
10$240/month$430/month$30/month total

With annual billing

These figures are monthly equivalents, not monthly invoices.

PeopleUnlimited + Brain AIUnlimited + Everything AISelfManager.ai Team
3$48/month equivalent$105/month equivalent$25/month equivalent
5$80/month equivalent$175/month equivalent$25/month equivalent
10$160/month equivalent$350/month equivalent$25/month equivalent

For example, five people on annual Unlimited plus Brain AI cost $960 per year: $420 for Unlimited and $540 for Brain AI. Annual SelfManager Team costs $300 total.

The products cover different workflows. Use the figures to compare budgets, then decide which capabilities your team needs.

How ClickUp AI limits and credits work

There are two important usage systems to understand.

Brain chat and premium-model limits

ClickUp’s usage documentation says Brain itself does not consume AI Credits. Premium-model usage is shared across the Workspace and has daily, weekly, and monthly limits.

When a premium-model allowance is exhausted, Brain switches to a standard model until the relevant limit resets. Standard-model usage is also subject to fair use.

This matters if premium models are the main reason you are buying the add-on. Check the actual allowance and reset periods in your account.

Credits for automatic features

AI Credits power features such as agent runs. Every Super Agent run consumes credits, including runs that only return an answer. Consumption depends on the work performed; 1,500 credits does not mean 1,500 requests.

ClickUp lists additional credits at $10 per 10,000. Purchased monthly credits renew and do not roll over into the following month.

For a useful trial, run a workflow you expect to repeat and inspect its consumption. A small one-off prompt tells you little about the cost of an agent that runs throughout the working week.

Is ClickUp AI worth it?

It is more likely to be worth it when your work already lives in ClickUp

The strongest case is a team with regularly updated tasks, useful descriptions, and meaningful project discussions.

For example, ClickUp can generate a project update from activity in a selected Space, Folder, or List over a chosen period. That can help someone who repeatedly gathers information for progress reports.

The practical benefit depends on the quality of the records. If decisions happen elsewhere and tasks rarely get updated, an AI-generated report still needs substantial checking.

It is less compelling when you only need occasional writing help

If your main use is rewriting an email twice a week, consider how much benefit comes specifically from connecting AI to ClickUp.

A useful evaluation asks:

  • Which repeated job does the AI help complete?
  • How much checking and editing does the output require?
  • How many billed members will benefit regularly?
  • Do the included allowances cover the expected use?

Keep a record of the work before and during the trial. Judge the result by usable output and time saved, rather than the number of features available.

Calculate value against the additional cost

Consider the five-person monthly Unlimited example. Adding Brain AI increases the bill by $70 a month.

If you value the relevant work at $35 an hour, the add-on would need to save two hours a month to match that cost. This is an illustrative calculation, not a claim about typical savings.

For an existing ClickUp customer, evaluate the incremental AI charge. For someone choosing a new platform, include the base subscription, setup effort, and ongoing maintenance as well.

When SelfManager.ai is a better fit

SelfManager.ai is worth considering when the main need is daily planning, recording work, and reviewing progress across work and personal life.

It organizes work in dated tables, with task-level time tracking, notes, comments, and shared collaboration. Its AI can generate dated plans and review recorded work, including statuses and time spent. It runs in the browser and can be installed as a web app.

The pricing distinction is straightforward: AI is included within the Individual and Team subscriptions, with a weekly allowance, rather than purchased as a separate per-member AI add-on.

However, a team that needs ClickUp’s project hierarchy, portfolio management, or resource-management features should evaluate those requirements directly. Lower subscription cost does not make two products interchangeable.

If your recurring question is “What should I work on today, and what actually happened this week?”, SelfManager’s dated workflow may be a closer match. Its seven-day trial requires no credit card.

Frequently asked questions

How much does ClickUp AI cost in 2026?

Brain AI costs $14 per user per month billed monthly, or $9 paid annually. Everything AI costs $33 monthly or $28 paid annually. Under the documented add-on model, the paid ClickUp subscription is additional.

Is ClickUp Brain included in the free plan?

ClickUp provides limited AI trial access. Its documentation says Free Forever Workspaces must upgrade to a paid plan to purchase an AI add-on. Trial allowances are not an ongoing free AI subscription.

Can I buy ClickUp AI for only one person on my team?

Under ClickUp’s documented Workspace add-on model, the fee applies to all Workspace members. Check your account’s offer because ClickUp notes that some Workspaces see different plans.

Does ClickUp AI have unlimited usage?

Some features have unlimited fair-use access, but premium-model usage and agent credits have separate limits. “Unlimited” should not be read as unrestricted access to every feature.

Should I choose Brain AI or Everything AI?

Start with Brain AI if your main needs are everyday assistance, writing, and project summaries. Evaluate Everything AI when its additional features solve recurring jobs for your team and justify the higher total bill.
